  • Calfora is an excellent user-friendly source for identifying and studying wild plants in California.
  • The California Native Plant Society is the premier organization devoted to caring for our botanical heritage
  • Calphotos is a photographic image database of plants and other California artifacts that can help confirm identities of plants.
  • John Muir Laws' guide to nature journaling provides suggestions for improving botanical journal entries.
  • iNaturalist is an online community resource for personal, group, and citizen-science nature study.
